sunbeams and bandages

We had a fantastic visit to my parents' home in Kent this weekend.  We saw Great-Grandpa Indian (he is native American) selling his prints at the winter market in Kent.  We made maple syrup at my brother Dan's house.  I went to my cousin's bridal shower.  We had dinner with Great-Grandma.  It was a lovely weekend.  I did take lots of pictures, but today is a busy day, and so come back soon for a full report on our weekend adventures.
For now enjoy the picture of Ruby putting a bandage on a tiny boo-boo on June's foot.
More on June's dress coming too.

caption contest!

What is this bunny thinking?

The winner will receive some sort of work of art made by none other than Ruby herself!

the power of TV and snacks combined!

When Alli gets home from school, she needs a break.  So I often turn on a PBS kids show.  And then I make a little snack.
When the snack is ready, I call the girls to the kitchen... because that is where we eat.  Not in the great room.
Well, my clever girls have figured out how to snack and continue watching "Martha Speaks."  Bar stools and chairs are set up right at the edge of the kitchen, facing the TV.

Riveting.

Dear Mom...

Thanks for the large jar of warm fuzzies (aka pom poms).

Where my heart is.

Andy found some crazy program that took my blog and analyzed it to find the most common words I have used.

guess who

Somebody got a haircut.
Somebody loves cars.
Somebody couldn't peel her eyes from the TV.

Check out the picture of June.  She is "reading" the insert from the Cars DVD... safe within the walls of a pillow fort built by Ruby.  Love it.
